Affinity Programs

First-Year Student & Faculty Dinner - A formal dinner during First-Year Family Weekend, intended for first-generation, low income students, and students who desire to be in community during first-year family weekend, but whose families may not be able to attend due to immigration policies, financial hardships, or significant personal circumstances. Students will enjoy the opportunity to dine with each other and invited faculty and administrative guests.

Affirmation Self-Care Study Breaks - A bi-annual, end-of-the-semester offering for students of diverse identities to be affirmed and celebrated for their academic achievements and personal perseverance throughout the semester. 

First Gen Fridays - A monthly community-building hour for our first-generation and/or low income (FGLI) students to experience a sense of connection with each other and support from our office.
